A day in the life.
As our EHS Specialist on the MMA-Environmental team, you’ll assist with data gathering for environmental permitting and reporting requirements for clients (e.g. hazardous waste, air emissions, industrial wastewater, stormwater). Our EHS Specialist develops, implements, and maintains all necessary environmental licenses, permits, reports and other regulatory requirements on behalf of clients. They will also conduct technical research/environmental report preparation.
Attention to detail will be key as our EHS Specialist performs compliance audits in complex manufacturing settings, performs compliance audits in the form of facility walkthrough inspections, and makes corrective action recommendations accordingly. Our EHS Specialist will also have the opportunity to make an impact in our client’s successes as they perform technical environmental training (i.e. hazardous waste training, DOT Hazmat training, SPCC training, Stormwater training etc.).

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
• Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
• Bachelor of Science Degree required
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and guidelines including: RCRA, CERCLA, EPCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, DOT Hazardous Material Regulations and corresponding state specific regulations governing hazardous waste, storm water, wastewater and air emissions.
• Advanced knowledge and use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Advanced knowledge of EPA reporting software systems (i.e. CDX, TRI-MeWeb, WIDNR Switchboard, WI WHOPRS, MN RCRA Info, MPCA e-Services)
These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
• Masters in Environmental Health & Safety or Environmental Discipline preferred
• Prior experience in the EHS Consulting industry
