Description
Under the general direction of the Senior Services Manager, The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for the daily coordination and administration of transportation services for older adults and individuals with disabilities. This position schedules rides, coordinates volunteer drivers, maintains participant records, ensures service quality and compliance, and serves as a liaison between participants, volunteers, caregivers, and community partners. The Transportation Coordinator promotes safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services that support participants' independence and access to essential resources.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate Transportation and Shopping services, including ride scheduling, ride requests, ride matching, and database updates.
- Maintain client records and services accurate in CaseWorthy
- Assist with program evaluations, surveys, and participant satisfaction initiatives
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Transportation participants and volunteers and maintain effective communication with staff and community partners.
- Train, manage, and supervise volunteer drivers and office volunteers, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, grant requirements, and agency standards,
- Design and conduct periodic training sessions to keep Transportation and Office volunteers informed of best practices, operational procedures, and program requirements.
- Train office volunteers and staff to assist with ride requests, ride matching, and other transportation-related duties.
- Coordinate EV ICS Vehicles, including volunteer driver training, routine maintenance, inspections, repairs, charging and serve as a substitute driver when needed.
- Manage volunteer mileage reimbursement and assist volunteers and Accounting with payment-related issues.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly program reports and maintain accurate program documentation.
- Develop, maintain, and update Transportation procedures and training materials for staff and volunteers.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience working with seniors and disabled adults
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organization skills and keen attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible
- Ability to coordinate multiple schedules, routes, and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills when interacting with seniors, volunteers, caregivers, and community partners
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information appropriately
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Ability to maintain a valid Arizona driver's license, reliable transportation, clean record, and current auto insurance
- Must pass a background check
- Must obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
Reports to: Senior Services Manager
Supervises: Transportation volunteers
Work Schedule: Full time (Monday through Friday), 40 hours per week
Home Office Location: Northwest
