Job Description

We are hiring Buyer role based in Bangkok, Thailand.

Provide support to guide commodity strategies; evaluate and select suppliers, including global opportunities, negotiation of supply agreements, and rationalisation of the supply base.

Provide support to Commodity Teams, plants, Suppliers, or Customers. Prepare/handle RFQ's/EC's for commodities. Evaluate Supplier quotation responses and prepare total acquisition cost analyses to determine sourcing recommendation. You will report to Procurement manager based in Singapore.

Your Responsibilities:

• Procure assigned materials/commodities from specified suppliers that are moderate to high in complexity and following all relevant procedures
• Directly help perform assigned suppliers and system maintenance. Responsible for commodities or assignments requiring application of basic purchasing principles, theories and concepts.
• Ensure acquisitions of product or service requirements from known sources of supply
• Participate in learning and professional development activities
• You will Comply with purchasing procedures. May gain experience and suggest improvements.
• Handle basic issues by following procedures in analysing situations or data from which answers can be obtained
• Understand commodity strategy and perform basic TCO analysis
• May resolve issues in requisition accuracy and completeness, on-time delivery or supplier payment
• May help with the location of alternate sources of supply
• Manage data in MRP system including price, lead time, and lot sizes
• Represent Rockwell Automation when working with other companies.
• Develop specific goals to support Purchasing's departmental goals.
• You will Establish personal growth goals to support you and Rockwell Automation. Report periodic progress toward those objectives to the purchasing supervisor.
• Edit and process purchase requisitions working with appropriate departments to clarify specifications and requirements
• Coordinate activities with other areas (Development and Industrialization Engineering, Marketing, Quality, Production and Inventory Control, Legal and Finance/Accounting) to achieve maximum customer service.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• (Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Equivalent discipline
• Minimum five years direct related experience
• SAP ERP experience
• Demonstrated understanding of MRP, inventory, and production principles.
• Experience and demonstrated proficiency using Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
• Capability with analytical tools and systems
• SAP experience

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Exposure to concepts of contract negotiation and conflict resolution
• Desire to manage projects requiring identification of goals, resources or approaches
• Experience developing commodity strategies
