About this opportunity

We are looking for a Senior SCOM Expert & SQL Database Administrator Specialist with 5–10 years of experience to join our IAM infrastructure and data operations team in Noida. This dual-role position focuses on engineering secure and scalable monitoring solutions for Active Directory Domain Controllers, IAM servers, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL, while ensuring database availability, performance, security, and operational resilience.

What you will do

• Design, manage, and optimize SCOM infrastructure for monitoring Domain Controllers, IAM servers, SQL Server, and MySQL environments.
• Develop and tune custom SCOM Management Packs using XML and PowerShell to monitor AD health, replication, SYSVOL, application events, and database performance.
• Administer Microsoft SQL Server (2016–2022+) and MySQL, including installation, upgrades, patching, migrations, backup, and recovery.
• Manage HA/DR solutions, including SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups and MySQL replication.
• Monitor and tune database performance, including queries, execution plans, indexes, deadlocks, CPU, memory, and storage.
• Ensure database and monitoring security through SSL/TLS, encryption, access controls, auditing, and secure SCOM agent configurations.
• Lead troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical infrastructure, directory services, and database incidents.
• Automate monitoring, remediation, and database health activities using PowerShell, T-SQL, and shell scripting.

You will bring

• 5–10 years of experience in infrastructure monitoring and enterprise database administration.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), including Management Packs, agent configuration, alert tuning, and distributed application monitoring.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, Domain Controllers, DNS, replication, and IAM infrastructure dependencies.
• Production DBA experience across both Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.
• Experience with SQL AlwaysOn, MySQL replication, HA/DR, backup/recovery, performance tuning, and database security.
• Strong proficiency in PowerShell and T-SQL, with XML and shell scripting knowledge.
• Experience handling critical incidents, troubleshooting, and RCA in enterprise environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical field.
