Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Premises Patrol in Lutz, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related needs with integrity. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a healthcare purchasing and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, delivery, and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related requests, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and assist with emergency response activities as directed.
• Communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management through required reporting channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
