Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Strategy & Program Messaging
- Develop and refine messaging frameworks for CPE programs and new program launches.
- Translate program differentiators and value propositions into compelling messaging for websites, email campaigns, social media, digital advertising, and partner outreach.
- Identify opportunities to improve CPE’s digital visibility, prospective student engagement, and conversion.
- Develop actionable short-term marketing priorities capable of producing measurable impact during the six-month appointment.
Social Media & Audience Growth
- Develop and execute a strategy to significantly strengthen CPE’s LinkedIn presence and organic social engagement.
- Build an effective content calendar featuring programs, faculty expertise, student and alumni outcomes, industry partnerships, events, and thought leadership.
- Test content formats, messaging, posting strategies, and calls to action to determine what drives meaningful audience growth and engagement.
- Establish benchmarks and track growth in followers, reach, engagement, website traffic, and lead generation attributable to organic social media.
SEO, AEO & Content Strategy
- Develop an SEO/AEO content strategy to improve CPE’s organic search visibility and presence in AI-powered search and answer engines.
- Identify high-value topics, keywords, questions, and content opportunities related to CPE programs and target audiences.
- Optimize existing and new website and editorial content for traditional search engines and emerging AI discovery channels.
- Develop campaign and content pillars that support sustainable organic audience growth.
Email & Prospective Student Engagement
- Develop and execute targeted email communications for inquiries, RFIs, application starts, and other prospective student populations using Slate.
- Evaluate email performance and recommend improvements to messaging, segmentation, timing, calls to action, and conversion strategies.
- Coordinate CPE communications with existing external partner recruitment and nurture campaigns.
Paid & Partner Marketing
- Collaborate with external enrollment marketing partners on messaging, creative direction, audience strategy, and performance of paid campaigns across digital channels and performance of paid campaigns across Google, LinkedIn, Meta, and other appropriate channels.
- Review campaign results and recommend adjustments based on performance data.
- Identify opportunities to test additional channels or campaigns when supported by audience and performance data.
- Coordinate with Stevens marketing resources and external partners as appropriate.
Analytics, Reporting & Optimization
- Establish clear performance benchmarks and KPIs for CPE’s digital marketing activities.
- Maintain and enhance marketing dashboards and reporting.
- Analyze website traffic, engagement, inquiries, application starts, enrollment funnel activity, email performance, organic search, social media, and campaign results.
- Translate data into actionable recommendations rather than reporting metrics alone.
- Provide regular updates on progress, results, opportunities, and recommended next steps.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, digital media, or a related field.
- 4+ years of progressively responsible digital marketing experience, preferably including higher education, professional education, B2B, or other lead-generation environments.
- Demonstrated success growing digital audiences and improving engagement and/or conversion.
- Strong experience with LinkedIn and organic social media strategy.
- Working knowledge of SEO and emerging AEO/AI-search optimization practices.
- Experience with email marketing, audience segmentation, and lifecycle/nurture campaigns.
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to use performance data to improve marketing results.
- Experience with web analytics and marketing reporting platforms.
- Excellent writing, editing, messaging, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to operate independently, prioritize high-impact opportunities, and deliver results within a fast-moving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience marketing graduate, continuing education, professional education, or other higher education programs.
- Experience with Slate or another higher education CRM.
- Experience collaborating with external marketing agencies or enrollment partners.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, LinkedIn analytics, paid digital advertising platforms, UTM tracking, and dashboard/reporting tools.
- Experience developing content optimized for both traditional search and AI-powered discovery.
- Experience launching or repositioning educational programs.
Measures of Success
Because this is a six-month appointment, success will be measured by demonstrated improvement rather than activity alone. Key measures may include:
- Growth in CPE’s LinkedIn audience, reach, and meaningful engagement.
- Increased qualified traffic to CPE program pages.
- Improved organic search and AI-search visibility.
- Increased prospective student inquiries and engagement.
- Improved conversion of RFIs and application starts.
- Stronger performance of program messaging and digital campaigns.
- Establishment of repeatable marketing processes, content strategies, dashboards, and recommendations that CPE can continue beyond the six-month appointment.

CPE OperationsCompensation Range
In compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act, the hourly base range for this position is $50 to $100 per hour. This range represents the University’s good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the position’s scope and responsibilities, the candidate’s experience, education, skills, internal equity, market data, and organizational considerations. The final salary will be set considering departmental budget, qualifications, and relevant credentials. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes additional forms of compensation, such as incentives, stipends, or other applicable pay components.
