Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Security Clearance Patrol in Rome, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-oriented culture. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in required reports.
• Maintain awareness of changing conditions across the assigned location and communicate security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
