Role Highlights: Own a major Distribution Centre turnaround with the mandate to rebuild leadership capability, modernise operations, lift productivity and service, and deliver measurable transformation with direct senior leadership exposure.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Lead a high-volume Distribution Centre through a significant operational transformation, driving performance across warehouse, fulfillment, transport and inventory. You’ll lead from the floor, strengthen leadership, improve accountability and deliver against safety, service, productivity and cost targets.
This is a genuine turnaround opportunity. You’ll challenge the status quo, modernise systems and processes, build a high-performing team and partner with senior leaders to deliver measurable, sustainable improvements across the operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation of the Distribution Centre.
- Drive a major operational transformation across people, process, systems and performance.
- Lead and develop Team Leaders, managers and frontline teams, strengthening accountability.
- Improve productivity, labour utilisation, workflow and overall operational efficiency.
- Drive DIFOT, fulfillment, dispatch and service performance.
- Improve inventory accuracy, warehouse discipline and stock integrity.
- Modernise ERP/WMS utilisation, reporting and operational processes.
- Partner with senior leaders to embed sustainable performance, cultural change and continuous improvement.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 5+ years’ experience leading Distribution Centre, warehouse or complex operations environments.
- Proven track record of turning around underperforming operations and delivering measurable results.
- Strong end-to-end experience across warehouse, fulfilment, transport, inventory and workforce management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead operational transformation and implement sustainable process improvements.
- Strong people leader with experience developing managers, Team Leaders and frontline teams.
- Confident influencing senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience with ERP/WMS, KPI management, WHS/CoR and cost optimisation.
- Resilient, commercially minded leader who can challenge the status quo, create accountability and drive change.
