Position Summary
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide nursing oversight and health related support to individuals receiving services through The Arc Chemung-Schuyler. This role focuses on promoting health and wellness, coordinating medical care, ensuring quality services and supporting individuals in a person-centered environment.
What You'll do
- Monitor and support the health and wellness needs of individuals receiving services
- Coordinate medical appointments, treatments and follow up care
- provide nursing assessments and health related guidance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, family and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and nursing standards
- Promote quality care and person-centered support
- Assist with health education and wellness initiatives
Qualifications
- Current New York State Registered Nursing license required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
- Preferred-Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience
- Preferred-Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD)
