Description
As a Business Controller in our Centre of Excellence you will play a key role in supporting the financial performance and decision-making processes for the Sales Development, Brand Marketing & Category Management functions. Working closely with Finance Business Partners and business stakeholders, you will provide financial insights, support planning and forecasting activities, standardize reporting, and drive continuous improvements across finance processes.
Specifically, you will:
Monitor and analyze actual financial performance for Sales Development, Brand Marketing & Category Management, ensuring accuracy of financial data and timely identification of variances against budget and forecast.
Prepare and deliver recurring financial reports, dashboards, and management presentations, providing variance analysis and financial commentary to support Finance Business Partners and functional stakeholders.
Support the budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial planning cycles, ensuring high-quality submissions and adherence to global timelines.
Perform detailed analysis of actuals, budgets, and forecasts, identifying key drivers behind variances and escalating significant risks and opportunities where appropriate.
Drive standardization within the supported functions and continuously improve financial reporting, planning templates, and advanced Excel models to enhance reporting quality, consistency, and efficiency.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including financial reviews, reconciliations, and reporting deliverables.
Provide ad hoc financial analyses and reporting support to Finance Business Partners and functional management as required.
Your qualifications:
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or in a related field.
Proven experience as a Business Controller or in a similar finance role, preferably in an international matrix organization.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and translate it into actionable business insights.
Advanced Excel skills are mandatory; experience with financial planning and reporting tools (e.g. SAP, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, Anaplan, or similar) is an advantage.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across a matrix organization and build relationships with multiple business functions.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Fluency in spoken and written English.
