Description
The Residential Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the effective delivery of person-centered services in the Residential and Supported Living departments. The Residential Coordinator supports the Residential Director in overseeing day-to-day operations, quality assurance, and ensuring the well-being of persons supported. General responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Review daily documentation to ensure timely, accurate, and outcome-based documentation while maintaining compliance with agency, DDA, ECF, MH, and MCO requirements.
- Attend and participate in resident-related meetings, including interdisciplinary team meetings, behavioral meetings, and other planning sessions.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Sunshine Services, conservators, families, healthcare providers, and external agencies.
- Educate, support, and advocate for individuals served, including providing transportation and attending appointments when necessary.
- Review and approve weekly residential staff schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels in accordance with state regulations, funding requirements, and agency policies. Participate in the agency's on-call rotation unless otherwise directed during emergencies.
- Assist with the onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training of Direct Support Professionals and House Managers, including education on new or revised care plans and service expectations.
- Promote effective communication among residential staff to ensure continuity of care and consistent implementation of individualized supports.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of resident records to ensure documentation accuracy, regulatory compliance, and readiness for audits.
- Monitor and audit documentation systems on an ongoing basis, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Review documentation for individuals receiving mental health services to ensure completeness, compliance, and accurate reporting, and collaborate with the Residential Director to address identified concerns.
- Monitor staff training compliance and coordinate required trainings to ensure all regulatory and agency requirements are met.
- Attend leadership, interdisciplinary, and departmental meetings, and meet regularly with the Residential Director to review operational priorities and program performance.
- Prepare, review, and support employee performance evaluations for Residential Coordinators, including coaching, performance improvement, and professional development.
- Assist the Residential Director with program oversight, quality improvement initiatives, special projects, and other operational responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial, employee, individual served, medical, and organizational information in accordance with agency policy and applicable laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned that support the mission, vision, sustainability, and operational effectiveness of Sunshine Services.
- Support Residential Director with other duties as requested.

Requirements
Education Requirements: Two-year college degree in Social Services, Human Services, or related field. Will consider year for year substitution allowed in cases of exceptional work experience.
Position Requirements: Complete all required DDA training in a timely manner. Maintain certifications and complete refresher training annually. Complete certification classes for Medication Administration for Unlicensed Personnel. Proficiency with computer programs for Microsoft Office, and basic writing skills. Will follow Sunshine Services Guidelines, and Protocols.
Physical Requirements: The position involves sitting, standing, bending and walking for long periods of time throughout the day. The position also requires the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. frequently on a daily basis.
