Job Overview:

As a Manager, New Accounts within LPL Financial's Client Facing Operations organization, you will lead a team of service professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional support to our financial professionals. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, coaching and developing employees, resolving complex service matters, and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and client-centricity.

You will serve as a key leader within the organization by providing real-time coaching, developing team capabilities, and ensuring service delivery aligns with LPL's commitment to excellence. Leveraging strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, you will guide your team through complex issues, partner across departments to develop scalable solutions, and proactively identify opportunities to improve the advisor and client experience.

Your leadership will directly support LPL's mission of empowering financial professionals to provide exceptional service to their clients.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 5-10 service professionals.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, development plans, and career objectives.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to drive employee performance and engagement.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, one-on-one coaching sessions, and performance evaluations.
  • Identify skill gaps and create targeted development opportunities to build team capability.
  • Manage staffing activities including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
  • Partner with Human Resources to address performance concerns, develop action plans, and support progressive counseling when necessary.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.

Service & Operations Management

  • Serve as the escalation point for complex advisor and client service issues.
  • Partner with frontline associates, service managers, and other internal business partners to resolve service concerns efficiently.
  • Provide expert guidance on New Accounts and account servicing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, policies, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Oversee daily operational performance, quality control activities, exception processing, error management, and reporting.
  • Monitor service metrics and operational trends to ensure consistent and high-quality client experience.
  • Support service managers and service professionals with complex inquiries and operational challenges.

Process Improvement & Strategic Initiatives

  • Analyze performance trends and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to address pain points and implement scalable solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of advisor-facing performance metrics and operational reporting.
  • Lead and participate in department-wide and enterprise-wide projects that improve workflows, efficiency, and the financial professional experience.
  • Drive initiatives that increase operational effectiveness, service quality, and organizational performance.
  • Advocate for resources and solutions that support business growth and team success.

Administrative Management

  • Manage employee schedules, attendance, timecard approvals, and time-off requests.
  • Monitor workforce productivity and staffing capacity.
  • Ensure team adherence to company policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
  • Maintain accurate operational reporting and documentation.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of LPL experience with demonstrated leadership or supervisory responsibilities, OR management experience within the financial services industry.
  • FINRA Series 99 and SIE licenses (or equivalent) required within four months of hire.

Preferences:

  • Proven experience leading and developing teams in a client service or operations environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience with BETA, MS Dynamics, Adiet, Documentum, and BOPM preferred.
  • Experience managing hybrid or geographically dispersed teams.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and practices.
  • Experience leading operational transformation or process improvement initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree.


 

Pay Range:

$68,804.00 - $114,639.00


 

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
