Job Summary:This multifaceted role combines tour guiding, driving, and equipment operation in all weather conditions. The position requires extensive knowledge of the park, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to safely operate and maintain vehicles. Candidates must be flexible, professional, and able to work long hours in challenging outdoor environments while representing the company positively.
The Details:Position Type: SeasonalSeason Dates: Late November 2026 to Mid March 2027Pay: $18.25/hour - $20.50/hourSchedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
- Safe and proper operation of company equipment in all weather conditions.
- Maintaining professionalism while working outdoors in extreme weather and during vehicle breakdowns.
- Helping tour members compose quality photographs in Yellowstone.
- Obtaining, distributing, and cleaning continental breakfast items for the tour.
- Providing courteous guest service.
- Providing a knowledgeable, interpretive commentary of Park features and history.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the natural, cultural, and geologic history of Yellowstone National Park.
- Leading guided walks up to a mile or longer in length.
- Keeping tours on a time schedule. Must be punctual.
- Prompt and correct completion of all required reports.
- Representing the Company in a positive manner.
- Responsible for a clean and neat appearance in the prescribed uniform.
- Assisting as needed with duty as Step-On Guide, driving of Step-On Tour Guides, bus washing, assisting with guest services in other departments, and other duties as assigned.
- Frequent overnight stays at other facilities both in and outside of Yellowstone National Park is required.
- Responsible for training Photographer Driver – Interpretive Guide III.
Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
- Must possess current 1st Aid/CPR certifications.
- Good driving record.
- Communicate effectively through speech and hearing.
- Good reading and comprehension skills to research tour information.
- Able to organize information about Yellowstone National Park into an interpretive thematic tour.
- Must provide own camera equipment.
- Judgment and leadership to keep your tour on a semblance of a schedule.
Physical Requirements:
- Must meet all DOT physical requirements and pass a DOT physical exam.
- Simultaneously steer a vehicle, shift its transmission, operate accelerator and brake pedals, and give commentary while driving in heavy traffic.
- Able to bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs. simultaneously and repeatedly.
- Able to work outdoors in variable weather (including rain, sleet, snow, direct sunlight, high winds, and temperatures ranging from -60⁰ to +100⁰ Fahrenheit).
