Based out of Elyria, Ohio, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Controller to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer & Chief Operating Officer, the Corporate Controller will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations and ensuring the integrity of our accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Management:
- Oversee the operations of the accounting department.
- Manage accounting operations across departments, including control systems, transaction processing, and consolidated financial reporting.
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP in all financial accounting methods and procedures.
- Drive process improvements in financial and cross-functional departmental transactions.
Transactions:
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of general ledger information and the chart of accounts.
- Ensure accurate product costing and adequate product pricing, reporting variances to senior management.
- Oversee timely maintenance of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Ensure customer invoicing accuracy and approve all customer credit memos prior to processing.
Reporting:
- Analyze and interpret financial data, recommending changes to improve system and financial performance.
- Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.
- Provide financial analyses for capital investments, pricing, and contract negotiations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- CPA certification.
- Strong ERP skills, preferably in Epicor.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Experience in manufacturing and inventory costing.
- Advanced mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow fiscal guidelines, regulations and principles.
