As a Pharmacist on a Fixed Term Contract, you'll play a vital role in ensuring patients receive the right medicines, advice, and support at the right time. Working within our Pharmacy team, you'll combine clinical expertise with operational leadership to help deliver an outstanding outpatient pharmacy service.

This is an excellent opportunity for a GPhC-registered pharmacist looking to further develop their clinical and leadership skills within a collaborative, patient-focused environment while supporting the team during a fixed-term period.

How you'll make health happen

• Deliver a high-quality outpatient pharmacy service, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of medicines.
• Clinically screen, check, and dispense prescriptions while providing expert medicines advice and patient counselling.
• Support the Superintendent Pharmacist in the day-to-day management of the dispensary and supervision of pharmacy staff.
• Promote the safe, clinically effective, and cost-efficient use of medicines across the organisation.
• Work collaboratively with consultants, clinicians, and healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes.
• Contribute to clinical audit, governance activities, quality improvement initiatives, and service development projects.
• Support the development, review, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and best practice.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, helping to identify opportunities to improve patient safety and service quality.
• Provide training, support, and development opportunities for dispensary colleagues.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Skills/Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Master's degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum two years' post-registration experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to continuing professional development.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience within a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is desirable.
• Previous experience within a private healthcare environment would be advantageous.
• Experience supervising colleagues or contributing to service improvement initiatives is desirable.
• Familiarity with pharmacy dispensing systems and Microsoft 365 is beneficial.
