As a Business Insights Data Analyst, you'll transform complex data into meaningful business insights that help drive smarter decisions across the organization. Through advanced analytics, reporting, and research, you'll uncover opportunities, identify trends, and deliver recommendations that improve business performance and support strategic growth.

Day-to-Day Ingredients — Responsibilities

As a Business Insights Data Analyst, you will:

• Analyze complex data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Deliver actionable insights that support business decisions.
• Extract, transform, validate, and manage data from multiple sources.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and scorecards.
• Perform ad hoc analyses to answer critical business questions.
• Apply data mining and advanced analytical techniques to solve business challenges.
• Design and measure tests, pilots, and business initiatives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define reporting and analytics needs.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
• Improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and data governance processes.
• Support data warehouse, reporting, and analytics initiatives.

What You Bring to the Table — Required Experience

As a Business Insights Data Analyst, you must have: 

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field; or equivalent work experience.
• Experience analyzing complex datasets and translating results into business recommendations.
• Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries.
• Experience with reporting, analytics, and data visualization tools.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Strong stakeholder partnership and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other business productivity tools.

Extra Toppings — Desired Experience

As a Business Insights Data Analyst, we prefer you to have: 

• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
• Experience with Python, R, or other analytics programming languages.
• Experience with machine learning or predictive analytics techniques.
• Experience with web, digital, or customer analytics.
• Experience building automated reporting solutions.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale analytics initiatives.
• Restaurant, retail, hospitality, or consumer-facing industry experience.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data and analytics platforms.

Where & How You’ll Work

This role is based at the San Antonio Home Office, working on‑site Monday through Thursday with remote flexibility on Fridays. In this role, you’ll have strong collaboration with leadership, across cross-functional teams, and with external partners to align capabilities with restaurant realities. The work environment is fast‑paced and requires sound judgment, strategic thinking, and strong collaboration skills. Full‑time availability is required, with occasional extended hours based on business needs, along with occasional travel to properties, project sites, and external meetings. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of the San Antonio Home Office.
