What you will do

As a Buyer within Johnson Controls, you will play a crucial role in the procurement process for our Land Based Security division. Collaborating closely with the Procurement Manager, you will understand spend requirements and engage with suppliers to negotiate prices and contracts. Your efforts will help achieve cost-saving targets while fostering strong supplier partnerships that drive mutual growth.

How you will do it

• Support the Procurement Manager in developing and implementing sourcing strategies for security products.
• Manage tender processes and provide pre-bid support for key projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure procurement strategies align with business needs.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and maintain relationships to ensure continuous improvement.
• Drive cost savings and efficiencies through effective contract negotiations and supplier management.
• Assist in creating and updating procurement plans and track progress against objectives.
• Support supplier onboarding processes and compliance with procurement policies.

What we look for

Required

• Proven experience in a procurement or buying role.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse market trends and supplier performance metrics.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects.
• Proficient in relevant procurement software and tools.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
• CIPS qualified or part-qualified. 
• Experience in the security industry or working with Land Based Security products.
