Job Overview

 

As a foreman on the platform, you are the first point of contact for all parties involved at the pier.

 

Your activities

• You manage a team of platform employees and, where necessary, you participate yourself;
• You are also responsible for enforcing the necessary safety procedures;
• You report unsafe situations, monitor the correct use of equipment and intervene where necessary;
• You will regularly have operational contacts with representatives of various airlines, Schiphol and other operational departments within Swissport;
• In the role of Platform Foreman, you will also have to conduct performance and assessment interviews in the future.

Your profile

 

As a Platform Foreman, you are a stress-resistant manager who likes to get his feet wet and does not shy away from a hectic work environment.

 

In addition, the following is important:

 

• You have at least an MBO diploma Demonstrable managerial work experience;
• Strong communication skills, with both oral and written command of the Dutch and English language;
• Stress-resistant and flexible and independent;
• A team player and you have a representative (positive) appearance;
• You can combine our irregular schedule (day, night and weekend shifts) with your other activities.

What we offer

 

A hectic and responsible job in a special workplace. After receiving your Schiphol pass, you will be trained in two weeks.

 

You will be directly contracted by Swissport without intermediaries. This is a 100% position (38 hours) but please take into account irregular hours, evenings and weekends (surcharges will of course be calculated for this). The salary indication is between €3.009,85 and € 4.068,- based on a full-time employment contract (38 hours), depending on knowledge and experience.

 

You can also count on 25 vacation days, a travel allowance and an attractive pension scheme.
