Now Hiring an Assistant Designer for a well-established private label apparel company with a strong junior and young contemporary women's business. This role is a real seat on the Junior RTW team. You will support the Designer and Senior Designer across the full development process, from trend research and CAD creation through sample review and tech pack maintenance. The work is varied, the exposure is broad, and the expectation is that you come in ready to learn and contribute from day one.

RESPONSBILITIES
- Create and update CADs, flats, and colorways in Adobe Illustrator across knit tops, woven tops, dresses, skirts, soft bottoms, and other non-denim RTW categories
- Support trend, color, fabric, and competitive research relevant to the junior and young contemporary customer
- Assist with tech pack development and keep design documentation accurate and current across active styles
- Help prepare seasonal and customer-specific design presentations for internal reviews and buyer meetings
- Track and organize samples, fabrics, trims, and development materials throughout the season
- Communicate sample review feedback and design revisions clearly to internal teams and cross-functional partners
- Maintain CAD libraries, artwork files, and development records so the team can move quickly and accurately
- Work alongside Product Development and Technical Design to keep the calendar on track
REQUIREMENTS
- 1 to 2 years of apparel design experience, including internships or assistant-level roles
- Strong Adobe Illustrator skills and working knowledge of Photoshop
- Genuine interest in junior and young contemporary fashion with a good eye for current trends
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field
- Understanding of garment construction and basic tech pack development
- Private label or high-volume apparel experience is a plus
