Job Description Summary

DEUTSCH
• Fachliche und disziplinarische Leitung des Werkstofflabors inkl. Personalführung, Entwicklung und Organisation
• Verantwortung für Planung, Durchführung und Freigabe von metallurgischen Prüfungen sowie Dokumentation der Ergebnisse
• Sicherstellung von Arbeitssicherheit, Qualitätsstandards und kontinuierlicher Prozessoptimierung
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Engineering, Produktion und Management zur Unterstützung technischer Projekte und Unternehmensziele

Job Description:

DEUTSCH

• Leitung, Koordination und Weiterentwicklung des Werkstofflabors mit Schwerpunkt metallurgische Prüfungen und Analysen
• Fachliche und disziplinarische Führung des Laborteams inkl. Einsatzplanung, Coaching, Weiterbildung und Leistungsbewertung
• Sicherstellung der Einhaltung von Arbeitssicherheitsstandards, relevanten Normen und internen Richtlinien
• Planung, Überprüfung und Freigabe von Prüfaufbauten sowie Gewährleistung einer reibungslosen Durchführung der Tests
• Durchführung, Auswertung und Dokumentation metallurgischer Prüfungen, inkl. Erstellung von Prüfberichten und Ableitung von Handlungsempfehlungen
• Analyse, Bearbeitung und Behebung von Problemen oder Schadensfällen in enger Abstimmung mit internen Fachbereichen und Kunden
• Kontinuierliche Optimierung von Prozessen, Methoden und Prüfverfahren zur Steigerung von Effizienz und Qualität
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Engineering, Produktion und Management zur Unterstützung technischer Projekte und strategischer Unternehmensziele

 

ENGLISCH

• Lead, coordinate, and further develop the materials laboratory with a focus on metallurgical testing and analysis
• Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to the lab team, including workforce planning, coaching, training, and performance evaluation
• Ensure compliance with occupational safety standards, relevant regulations, and internal guidelines
• Plan, review, and approve test setups while ensuring smooth and accurate execution of testing activities
• Conduct, evaluate, and document metallurgical tests, including preparation of reports and derivation of recommendations for action
• Analyze, address, and resolve issues or damage cases in close collaboration with internal departments and customers
• Continuously optimize processes, methods, and testing procedures to improve efficiency and quality
• Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and management to support technical projects and strategic business objectives
• All other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Education

DEUTSCH:

• Abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Materialwissenschaften, Metallurgie, Werkstofftechnik, Maschinenbau oder vergleichbare Qualifikation
• Fundierte Kenntnisse in metallurgischen Prüfverfahren, Labor- und Analysetools sowie Erfahrung im Qualitätsmanagement sind wünschenswert
• Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Führung von Teams sowie ausgeprägte Kompetenzen in der Mitarbeiterentwicklung und Konfliktlösung sind wünschenswert
• Organisationsstärke, Kommunikationsfähigkeit und ein hohes Maß an Verantwortungsbewusstsein
• Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift

 

ENGLISCH:

• Degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
• Solid background in metallurgical testing methods, laboratory and analytical tools, as well as experience in quality management is desirable
• Several years of experience leading teams, along with strong competencies in employee development and conflict resolution, are desirable
• Strong organizational and communication skills combined with a high level of accountability and decision-making ability
• Very good English and German language skillswritten and spoken
