This is a fully home-based UK role with no requirement to work within a laboratory environment.
We're seeking an experienced toxicology professional with a strong scientific background and proven experience supporting in vivo non-clinical toxicology studies as a Study Director, Study Monitor, or similar. You'll combine technical expertise with strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills to support the delivery of high-quality regulatory toxicology programmes.
The Role
As an accountable member of the study team, you will oversee toxicology and safety studies conducted through CRO partners, supporting study design, execution, oversight, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead oversight of outsourced toxicology and safety studies.
- Partner with Project Toxicologists, CRO Study Directors, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality regulatory studies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for CROs throughout the study lifecycle.
- Support study design, execution, reporting, and communication of results to project teams.
- Ensure studies are delivered to agreed quality standards and timelines.
- Provide leadership and guidance to study monitors and key stakeholders.
- Participate in occasional study-related site visits as required.
About You
- BSc or MSc in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related Life Sciences discipline.
- Experience in non-clinical safety assessment within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry.
- Hands-on experience as a GLP Study Director and/or Study Monitor supporting in vivo toxicology studies.
- Strong understanding of toxicology and pharmacology principles.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing non-clinical toxicology studies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external partners at all levels.
Preferred Experience
- Broad knowledge of regulatory toxicology study types across multiple species, delivery routes, and therapeutic modalities.
- Experience managing outsourced studies and CRO relationships.
Why Apply?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing global team and play a key role in the delivery of critical non-clinical toxicology programmes, working with leading scientific experts while enjoying the flexibility of a fully home-based position.
