- Schedule: Full-time, A Shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday
- Pay: $54,000 - $67,000 annual salary. Final compensation is based on experience.
- Job Summary: The Facilities Technician II is responsible for performing a wide range of duties to maintain, repair, and improve the machinery, equipment, and infrastructure of Mercury Print Productions.

- Reports To: Facilities Manager
- Duties/Expectations: While duties may vary from day to day, below is a list of general duties you can expect in this role.
- Assemble, install, and maintain printing production machinery and related equipment, including offset and digital presses, finishing and bindery equipment, conveyors, feeders, pumps, motors, wiring, electrical and electronic components, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, plumbing, and machine controls, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and facility requirements.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems affecting printing presses and production equipment. Analyze test results, machine fault codes, error messages, production issues, and information provided by press operators and production personnel to identify the root cause of equipment malfunctions.
- Work closely with press operators, production supervisors, and other maintenance personnel to identify recurring equipment issues, determine appropriate corrective actions, and maintain reliable operation of printing and finishing equipment.
- Inspect machine components for defects, damage, breakage, excessive wear, misalignment, or other conditions that could affect equipment performance, print quality, production efficiency or operator safety.
- Conduct regular inspections of building facilities, systems, and equipment to identify maintenance issues and address repairs or improvements as necessary.
- Coordinate with outside contractors, service providers, and vendors when specialized repairs, inspections, or maintenance services are required.
- Accurately document completed work and inspections.
- Maintain clean and organized mechanical rooms, storage areas, and common areas.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines in daily operations.
- Be dependable, reliable, and consistently perform high-quality work meeting company production standards.
- Communicates efficiently and professionally with manufacturer, management and crew members
- Continuously work to develop skills / knowledge and complete all training required by the company
- Be a team player, communicate clearly and respectfully and maintain a positive attitude
- Create a safe and hazard free work environment; follow safety protocols and report any risks
- Performs other duties as needed / assigned, and adhere to all company and department policies and procedures.
What we are looking for:
- Position Qualifications: You MUST Have Mechanical experience.
- Work Experience: 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or related field required OR equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience in building operations or related field.
- Knowledge/Skills: Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills; proficiency with hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA, building codes, etc.)
- Certifications: Certification in electrical, HVAC, or plumbing is a plus.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Must be of legal working age and eligible to work in the U.S.
- Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
- Works indoors in a temperature-controlled manufacturing facility and will be exposed to loud sounds, hazardous chemicals, and equipment on the production floor. Must have the ability to bend, lift and carry up to 40 lbs.; stand/walk on hard surfaces for extended periods; complete repetitive tasks; operate computers and/or machines (dexterity, bend, stretch, reach, climb, crouch, etc.); and communicate effectively. *Reasonable accommodations may be available upon request.
