## What you’ll do:
If you desire to be part of something special, to be part of a winning team, and to make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you. Eaton is seeking a Project Manager – Prefabrication & Integration PMO to join our ANZ Electrical Sector team. The role may be based at various locations across Australia and New Zealand. At Eaton, safety, health, well-being, inclusion, diversity, and meaningful work are embedded in our values, our vision, and our aspirational goals.
What you’ll do:
You will serve as the single point of operational accountability for the end-to-end delivery of complex prefabricated and integrated electrical solutions. You will lead projects from contract handover through final acceptance, aligning design engineering, third-party fabrication, factory testing, logistics, site delivery, commercial commitments, and customer expectations. As the bridge between commercial commitments and operational execution, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external partners to manage delivery risk, protect project margins, and achieve safe, high-quality outcomes.
- Deliver prefabricated and integrated packaged projects in accordance with the Project Management Office delivery model.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex integrated assemblies, including factory-built enclosures, switchrooms, skid-mounted substations, and multi-vendor electrical packages.
- Own client and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle, acting as the primary point of operational accountability.
- Lead, allocate work to, mentor, and develop direct project team members, including Project Engineers and Project Coordinators.
- Direct and influence cross-functional contributors, including Document Controllers, Application and Design Engineers, site resources, and third-party partner teams.
- Review contractual obligations, bank guarantees, commercial time bars, and compliance requirements to protect Eaton’s commercial position.
- Coordinate internal teams with structural fabricators, equipment packagers, original equipment manufacturers, and other external suppliers.
- Develop and maintain baseline schedules covering equipment manufacture and testing, external fabrication, factory fit-out, internal testing, logistics, and site delivery. Provide status reports every two weeks.
- Review engineering designs and technical gap analyses early to resolve electrical, mechanical, and structural clashes before fabrication begins.
- Manage change requests, scope variations, and cost impacts across customer contracts and subcontractor purchase agreements, converting commercial and technical gaps into opportunities where appropriate.
- Meet financial targets through monthly cost-to-complete reviews, month-end revenue recognition, milestone billing, and weekly revenue and margin forecasting.
- Oversee third-party production milestones, vendor expediting, and integrated package inspections.
- Lead Factory Acceptance Testing, integrated functional testing, Site Acceptance Testing, and commissioning activities where applicable.
- Coordinate oversize transport, specialised lifting studies, and complex site logistics to support on-time delivery.
- Supervise site installation support, interface handovers, and final operational readiness reviews with client site teams.
- Enforce rigorous health, safety, and environmental standards across manufacturing locations, fabrication yards, testing facilities, and customer sites.
- Manage final documentation packages, including as-built documentation, test reports, compliance certificates, and operation and maintenance manuals.
- Capture lessons learned and improve standardisation, vendor execution, and build-cycle efficiency across future prefabricated solutions.
## Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Engineering Management, Construction Management, or an equivalent discipline.
- At least five years of project management experience in the electrical or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering, including power distribution, control, and power quality products and systems.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, suppliers, commercial obligations, schedules, budgets, quality requirements, and site interfaces.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, and Visio.
- Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning and project management systems, tools, and methodologies, such as SAP.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, written communication, verbal communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised, analytical, safety-focused, and able to manage competing priorities with close attention to detail.
- Proven problem-solving capability, sound judgement, and a clear approach to escalation.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, adapt to changing project needs, and influence teams without direct authority.
- Formal project management qualification is preferred.
