Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Female Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with a strong UK/UK-trained background to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care to women across all stages of life.

The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical and communication skills, experience within the UK healthcare system, and a recognized UK postgraduate qualification such as MRCOG and/or CCT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consultant-level obstetric and gynaecological consultations.
  • Manage antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care.
  • Manage normal and high-risk pregnancies.
  • Conduct deliveries and manage obstetric emergencies.
  • Diagnose and treat a broad range of gynaecological conditions.
  • Perform appropriate gynaecological procedures and surgeries within credentialed scope.
  • Manage menstrual disorders, fibroids, endometriosis, PCOS and menopausal concerns.
  • Provide contraception and reproductive health counselling.
  • Conduct cervical screening and other preventive women's health services.
  • Provide preconception counselling and fertility-related assessment where appropriate.
  • Counsel patients regarding treatment options and obtain informed consent.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
  • Work collaboratively with midwives, nurses, neonatologists, anaesthetists and other specialists.
  • Participate in clinical governance, audits, quality improvement and continuing professional development.
  • Follow DHA regulations, hospital policies and evidence-based clinical guidelines.

Qualifications

  • MBBS/MBChB or equivalent medical degree.
  • MRCOG and/or UK CCT in Obstetrics & Gynaecology preferred.
  • Specialist/Consultant qualification recognized by DHA.
  • Current DHA Consultant license or eligibility for DHA licensing.
  • Strong UK clinical experience, preferably within NHS hospitals.
  • Minimum experience appropriate for the applicable DHA Consultant licensing pathway.
  • DHA's qualification framework recognizes UK CCT/CCST qualifications for Consultant classification, subject to the applicable requirements; the DHA also maintains a specific scope of practice for Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

Preferred Experience

  • UK/NHS Consultant or equivalent senior-level experience.
  • High-risk obstetrics and complex pregnancy management.
  • Vaginal and Caesarean deliveries.
  • Management of obstetric emergencies.
  • Gynaecological surgery.
  • Experience in women's health and preventive gynaecology.
  • Experience working in a multicultural private healthcare environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
