Description

Overview

Manage the end-to-end potato supply, driving local Vietnam Agro-field execution and developing fit-for-purpose planting models optimized for topography and climatic conditions to achieve the lowest sustainable cost while maximizing potato yield and quality.

Ensure supply continuity and cost competitiveness by delivering targeted domestic volumes and strategically partnering with OUs and external vendors to secure imported potato supply that meets quality requirements and AOP cost targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end potato supply planningDevelop and manage the integrated potato supply plan across local Agro production and imported potato supply, balancing volume, quality, timing, inventory and cost requirements to ensure uninterrupted supply to the business.Key measures: Total supply fulfillment, supply gap, forecast accuracy, inventory days, quality compliance and cost/ton.
  • Own local and imported potato supply balancingContinuously assess local crop availability, planting progress, harvest outlook, inventory position and imported potato requirements to determine the optimal supply mix between local and imported sources in line with business demand and AOP.Key measures: Local/import supply mix, supply coverage, supply gap closure, landed cost/ton and supply continuity.
  • Coordinate imported potato planning and executionPlan imported potato requirements based on demand forecast, local crop availability, inventory, production consumption and supply lead times. Coordinate with OUs, Procurement, vendors and relevant functions to secure imported volumes that meet required quality, timing and cost targets.Key measures: Import volume fulfillment, on-time delivery, landed cost vs. AOP, quality acceptance and supply disruption.
  • Develop import supply scenarios and contingency plansBuild supply scenarios based on changes in local crop performance, demand, inventory, market conditions, logistics constraints and vendor availability. Recommend and execute contingency actions to mitigate supply risks and ensure business continuity.Key measures: Supply risk identification, contingency readiness, risk mitigation effectiveness and unplanned supply disruption.
  • Drive potato demand and supply forecastingWork with F2F and LD&T to consolidate and analyze demand, local planting plans, crop forecasts, harvest estimates, inventory and import lead times to establish a rolling potato supply forecast and proactively identify future supply gaps.Key measures: Forecast horizon, supply gap visibility and corrective-action closure.
  • Collaborate with OU to manage imported potato with suppliersWork closely with OUs, global/regional stakeholders and external vendors to align imported potato availability, specifications, shipment plans and commercial targets, ensuring imported supply meets agreed quality and cost requirements.Key measures: Vendor relationship, quality compliance, cost competitiveness, shipment adherence and issue-resolution lead time.
  • Optimize potato inventory and supply timingDevelop supply timing and inventory strategies that balance production requirements, potato grade, quality risk, logistics lead time and working capital while minimizing supply and obsolescence risks.Key measures: Closing stock, inventory loss, aging, quality deterioration and working capital.
  • Lead local potato planting and field area planningTranslate business demand and Agro strategies into local planting requirements by managing planting area, seed allocation, crop calendar, grower selection and expected yield, ensuring sufficient local supply capacity for the annual and rolling supply plan.Key measures: Planting plan achievement, expected vs. actual yield, local supply volume, planting area and seed utilization.
  • Develop and maintain reliable local grower and  supply capacityWork with growers and brokers to improve productivity, yield and quality while maintaining sufficient grower capacity to support long-term local supply requirements and reduce dependency on imported potato.Key measures: Grower productivity, yield/ha, quality acceptance, grower retention and local supply contribution.
  • Drive potato supply cost competitivenessAnalyze and optimize total potato supply cost across local farm cost and imported landed cost, including logistics, inventory and quality-related costs, to deliver the most competitive supply solution within AOP.Key measures: Total supply cost/ton, landed cost/ton, cost vs. AOP, productivity savings and cost avoidance.
  • Contribute Annual Operating Planning and rolling supply reviewsOwn the potato supply planning cycle for AOP and periodic rolling forecasts, establishing supply, cost, inventory and productivity targets and driving corrective actions when actual performance deviates from plan.Key measures: AOP achievement, supply plan adherence, forecast accuracy, cost and inventory performance.
  • Play key role of Agro productivity and improvement projectsIdentify and lead productivity initiatives across local field operations and imported potato supply, leveraging data, benchmarking and cross-functional collaboration to improve supply reliability, quality and cost competitiveness.Key measures: Productivity savings, cost reduction/avoidance, project benefits realization and implementation rate.
  • Ensure safety, compliance and operational governanceEnsure all Agro field and supply-planning activities comply with company policies, Agro processes, GCS, EHS, regulatory requirements and relevant quality standards.Key measures: Compliance rate, audit performance, safety performance and corrective-action closure.
  •
