Specialist, Sourcing China – Dairy, Nuts, Sweeteners, Sugar, Egg


As a Specialist, Sourcing China at Mars, you will partner to drive development & implementation of sub-category buying strategies and co-pilot optimization of resources. This role manages both regional and global initiatives by leveraging supplier relationships, while also driving standardization and automation. Ownership of sub-category spend on a global basis will be key, as will heavy x-functional collaboration and close partnership with key stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

Ideally you will have around 5 years’ commercial or purchasing experience, preferably in the areas of services both direct and indirect buying.

We want someone who shares our passion for driving value for our business by leveraging various sourcing channels.

You’ll also need to hold a Bachelors / master's degree.


What will be your key responsibilities?

Role will be working closely with global category managers & responsible for sourcing raw materials for Asia cluster.

Execute Sourcing Strategy: Leveraging market and spend intelligence, lead strategic sourcing events, evaluate supplier proposals, and prepare business award recommendations to activate category strategies.

Negotiate & Contract for Value: In partnership with the cost modeling team, conduct comprehensive analysis to inform negotiation strategies, lead supplier negotiations, and manage end-to-end legal contracting to maximize value.

Building & executing a multi-year pipeline for Value Leadership and working capital opportunities aligned to business priorities.

Operational & Supplier Management: Maintain operational contracts (e.g., in SAP) for accurate pricing and engage in supplier relationship management as defined by segmentation.

Financial Forecasting such as periodic PPVs and presenting Annual Sourcing Plans
