Your OpportunityWe are currently seeking motivated candidates for the position of Administrative Assistant - Reception (Casual) in our Downtown Toronto office to fill an existing vacancy. This is an interim, casual office-based position with a contract term of 2 to 12 weeks (with the possibility of extension) and an immediate start date (ASAP). This role requires working on-site from Dillon’s Downtown Toronto office five days per week. Candidates must be able to commit to being at the office for an 8:00 AM start each day. Total hours per week are flexible, ranging from 30 to 37.5 hours per week.
As a valuable member of the administrative group in the Downtown Toronto office, you will be a welcome addition to our dynamic national administration team. In this front-desk reception role, you will showcase your interpersonal and customer service skills in a professional office setting, maintaining active communication with your team manager via Google Chat and Google Meet.
The pay rate for this position is $25.00/hour.
Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors, handle front-desk client interactions, and manage incoming telephone inquiries
- Coordinate mail and courier arrangements, including receiving, sorting, and routing incoming packages and deliveries
- Communicate with the Office Manager to ensure reliable reception coverage at all times
- Assist with other reception and front-desk administrative duties as required to support the effective operation of the office
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with experience in customer-service oriented sectors (e.g., professional services, retail, hospitality, or office administration)
- strong interpersonal skills, a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, and the ability to provide an enthusiastic, welcoming presence in the office
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and stay connected with your office manager and other stakeholders
- Reliability and punctuality, with the explicit ability to commit to being at the Downtown Toronto office for 8:00 AM, 5 days per week
- Excellent attention to detail, a high regard for accuracy, and time management skills to prioritize front-desk priorities effectively
- Familiarity with Google Workspace tools (e.g., Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Chat, and GoogleMeet) is considered an asset
