Description
The Pricing Analyst, Governance & Insights is a highly visible role across the organization that will challenge your ability to work with ambiguity, manage large amounts of data, turn insights into action, and make strong connections with business leaders. You will be working independently with category business managers, building relationships and interpreting category, brand, and vendor strategies and their impact on price. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement new or existing frameworks that improve our customer’s price perception, while maximizing our categories profitability. In this role, you’ll work across a team of high performing individuals looking to make an impact at Canadian Tire.
What you’ll do:
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with Merchandising and cross-functional partners to improve alignment, decision-making, and pricing execution
- Provide regular governance-related reporting and insight summaries, including weekly updates on trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions for partners
- Analyze pricing reports to identify margin leakage, pricing inconsistencies, compliance risks, and opportunities to improve execution and business performance
- Document recurring issues, category-specific nuances, process exceptions, and reporting requirements to strengthen analysis, improve communication, and support operational consistency
- Maintain and evolve SOPs for reporting, insights, and cross-functional handoffs to ensure processes remain accurate, scalable, and easy to follow
- Develop and apply foundational Power BI and KNIME capabilities to support simple dashboards, reporting refreshes, workflow improvements, and low-complexity automation opportunities
What you bring
- 1-3 years of experience in pricing, analytics, merchandising support, retail operations, or a related analytical role
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to cross-functional partners
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with interest or introductory experience in Power BI, KNIME, or other data and automation tools
- Ability to document processes thoroughly, maintain SOPs, and support knowledge transfer in a structured and accessible way
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced business environment
- Merchandising, pricing, retail, or cross-functional stakeholder management experience is considered an asset
Who you are:
We are looking for individuals who can build strong partnerships, turn data into actionable insights, strengthen process discipline, and grow their technical and strategic pricing capabilities in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Collaborative relationship builders who engage partners early, communicate clearly, and align stakeholders around shared outcomes
- Analytical thinkers who can interpret pricing data, identify meaningful trends and risks, and translate findings into practical recommendations
- Curious and innovative learners who are motivated to build foundational skills in tools such as Power BI and KNIME
- Detail-oriented operators who value strong documentation, process consistency, and continuous improvement
- Agile self-starters who can manage ambiguity, support change, and contribute to both day-to-day execution and longer-term automation initiatives
If you’re curious, ready to take on new challenges and open to doing things differently to help us evolve rapidly, then this is definitely the place to be.
The target salary range is between $55,000 and $65,000.00 CAD Annual. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
