Senior/Associate Mechanical Design Engineer
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer looking to work on a broad range of technically challenging projects while playing a key role in mentoring junior engineers and helping shape project delivery with a well-established building services consultancy that is continuing to grow its Mechanical Design team.

The Role
As a Senior-Associate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects from concept through to completion. You will work closely with clients, architects, and fellow design engineers to develop innovative, sustainable, and practical engineering solutions.
This position offers the chance to take ownership of projects while contributing to the continued growth of an established consultancy.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the design and coordination of mechanical building services systems.
- Producing detailed mechanical designs in line with current industry standards and regulations.
- Developing HVAC and public health building services solutions across a variety of projects.
- Using Revit, AutoCAD, and industry-standard modelling software to support project delivery.
- Preparing technical calculations, reports, specifications, and design documentation.
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and technicians.
- Contributing to design reviews, value engineering, and technical problem-solving.
What You'll Need
- Experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer within a building services consultancy environment.
- Strong understanding of HVAC and mechanical building services design.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience producing technical calculations and engineering reports.
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workloads effectively.
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
