Represent the Department of Digital Media, Photography & Electroacoustics (DMP&E) at Plymouth State University (PSU) Open House events. This role involves engaging with prospective students and their families, providing accurate and compelling information about the department's programs, and supporting recruitment efforts in collaboration with the School of Integrated Liberal Arts (SILA).
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Represent DMP&E at PSU Open House events hosted through SILA
- Engage with prospective students and their families, answering questions about the department's programs, courses, and opportunities
- Advise prospective students on potential career paths available through DMP&E degree programs
- Provide detailed information about available majors, concentrations, and academic expectations
- Serve as an enthusiastic and knowledgeable ambassador for PSU and the DMP&E department
- Collaborate with SILA staff to ensure a cohesive and welcoming Open House experience
Requirements:
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
- Master of Fine Arts (MFA) or equivalent terminal degree
- Prior teaching experience within the DMP&E department at Plymouth State University
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of DMP&E programs, curriculum, and career outcomes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences including students, parents, and guardians
- Ability to speak confidently and enthusiastically about the value of a DMP&E education
- Familiarity with PSU's academic culture, resources, and student support services
