We’re a community of relentless problem solvers that offers the daily opportunity to contribute with your perspective, transform industries and shape the future. Our purpose is simple - to deliver a sustainable future for the world through science and collaboration. If you’re looking for a challenge and meaningful role, you’re in the right place.

Dow is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal Specialist to join its Latin America Legal Team in Mexico City.

About you and this role:

In this role, you will provide legal and operational help to attorneys primarily supporting Mexico and Colombia, while assisting with legal matters and projects across other Latin American jurisdictions. You will contribute to corporate governance, contract administration, compliance initiatives, legal research, and legal operations activities that support Dow's business objectives.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, collaborative, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced multinational environment while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality.  This position is intended for professionals pursuing a paralegal, legal operations, or legal support career path. Candidates should be comfortable performing a legal support role rather than serving as legal counsel.

Responsibilities:

Legal Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct legal and regulatory research across Latin America.
  • Review laws, regulations, and corporate documents to support legal matters.
  • Prepare summaries and research for attorneys.

Contract & Document Support:

  • Draft, review, and revise standard contracts and legal documents under attorney supervision.
  • Coordinate supporting documentation for commercial, corporate, and compliance matters.
  • Assist with contract administration and document management.

Corporate Governance:

  • Maintain corporate records, books, powers of attorney, and governance documents.
  • Coordinate with notaries, public registries, government authorities, and external providers.
  • Support corporate maintenance activities and regulatory filings.

Compliance:

  • Assist with beneficial ownership, AML, and corporate transparency filings.
  • Support anti-corruption due diligence processes and escalate potential concerns.
  • Monitor compliance deadlines and reporting requirements.

Legal Operations:

  • Maintain legal files, databases, and document management systems.
  • Support process improvement initiatives within the Legal Department.
  • Ensure compliance with record retention requirements.

Technology & Innovation:

  • Utilize legal technology and productivity tools, including Microsoft Copilot, Team Connect, and Blueprint.
  • Support digital solutions that improve legal service delivery and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent four-year degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Bibliotecarian, Translator or a related field.
  • +3 years of experience in a paralegal, legal operations, compliance, corporate governance, or related legal support role.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, legal documentation, and corporate legal processes.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other business technology tools.
  • Paralegal certification or specialized legal studies.
  • Experience supporting corporate, commercial, procurement, governance, or compliance matters.
  • Experience working in a multinational corporation or law firm supporting multiple jurisdictions.
  • Familiarity with Team Connect, Blueprint, Microsoft Copilot, or similar legal operations platforms.
  • Experience interacting with governmental authorities, public registries, and notaries.

Your Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Sound judgment and a high level of integrity.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset and commitment to service excellence.
  • Continuous improvement orientation and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Ability to work effectively across cultures, functions, and geographic regions.

To apply:
