Senior Delivery Lead - Modernisation

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Applications Development Group Manager / SVP of Technology to lead the evolution of the Global Concentration Engine (GCE), a business-critical, SOX-critical platform for global liquidity management.

The GCE provides our clients with the ability to manage their liquidity globally on an end-of-day and intra-day basis. It is a cornerstone of our Treasury and Trade Solutions, enabling integrated cash management, real-time analytics, and cross-border cash mobilization.

This is a senior management, ‘player-coach’ position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team, coupled with a large component (>50%) of individual, hands-on contribution. The ideal candidate will be a forerunner in driving the adoption of Artificial Intelligence within the GCE platform, a hands-on coder, and a strategic leader who can establish and implement new application systems in coordination with the Technology Team.

The candidate will have a proven track record of building and supporting high-performing global technology solutions, driving innovation, and delivering industry-defining products. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, communication, and deep hands-on technical skills, capable of setting product vision, personally coding on large-scale projects, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI Leadership & Strategy for GCE:Champion the strategic adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), including Generative AI, within the Global Concentration Engine to enhance its analytical and predictive capabilities, creating significant business impact and competitive advantage. Define and drive the AI roadmap for GCE, from conceptualization through to production, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise goals for liquidity management. Act as the organization's thought leader on the application of AI in Treasury and Trade Solutions, staying at the forefront of industry trends and mentoring teams to build their AI capabilities.
• Hands-on Technical Leadership & Delivery:Lead by example as a senior individual contributor, dedicating a significant portion of time (>50%) to hands-on development, including coding, designing, and architecting key components for the modernization and enhancement of the GCE platform. Oversee the full product development lifecycle for GCE, from ideation to deployment and ongoing maintenance, setting the bar for code quality, system performance, and engineering discipline. Drive the adoption of modern technologies and best practices (e.g., DevSecOps, Cloud, Microservices) through direct implementation and team mentorship within the context of the GCE application.
• Team & Organizational Leadership:Lead and inspire a global technology organization, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and engineering excellence. Mentor and develop high-performing engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, effectively communicating technical concepts and strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

• Overa decade of experience in technology roles, with a proven track record of success in leadership positions.
• Demonstrated experience as a ‘player-coach’, with a substantial and recent hands-on contribution to coding, architecture, and system design in a complex, transactional environment.
• Proven track record of championing and delivering AI/ML-driven projects from concept to production, with a deep understanding of its practical applications (including Generative AI) in a complex enterprise environment.
• Solid, expert-level hands-on experience with Open Source technologies, including Java/Springboot, Kafka, and containerization platforms (OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Deep understanding of modern software architecture principles, development methodologies (Agile, SAFe), and engineering best practices.
• Experience building and scaling high-availability, business-critical SaaS platforms.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience leading and collaborating with global technology teams.
• Experience in a large financial conglomerate is highly preferred, with specific experience in Treasury, Trade, or Liquidity Management Solutions being a significant advantage.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience required.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred. Executive education from top-tier institutions is a plus.
