We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced DBA and Operations IT Support Engineer to join our Europe IT team in Niš. In this role, you will manage and support databases across the European region, ensuring their performance, security, integrity, and availability. You will also support ETL tools and local IT operations, working closely with production stakeholders and local IT teams.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust database systems supporting business applications
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and data partitioning
- Ensure data integrity, security, and availability through regular monitoring and maintenance
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, production stakeholders, and IT teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patches
- Maintain documentation for database systems, configurations, and procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
- Implement and manage backup and recovery processes
- Develop and optimize ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Provide ETL-related support and troubleshooting
- Support local IT and OT users
Our requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- 1–3 years of relevant hands-on experience in database administration, ETL tools, or IT operations
- Experience with MS SQL database technologies and ETL tools, particularly Azure Data Factory
- Knowledge of API technologies
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with different stakeholders and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with NoSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
- Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud platforms
- Relevant technical certifications and/or experience in a manufacturing environment are considered a plus
