Will also be expected to manage budgets and project schedules, and to report findings and progress to management in a timely manner.
  • Client Engagement: May act as a point of contact for clients and legal counsel. This includes leading data and document collection efforts, providing project status updates, and participating in meetings to discuss preliminary findings and strategy.
  • Expert Reporting & Exhibits: Will assist with drafting expert reports, rebuttals, and memos, as well as preparing visual exhibits for use in arbitration or trial. Focuses on producing accurate and high-quality workpapers, analyses, and client deliverables.
  • Business Development Support: Assist leadership in the growth of the service by contributing to the preparation of proposals, industry presentations, and attending networking events.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

Actively participates in company activities, including traveling as necessary to MBP offices and client locations. Stays abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of construction disputes, specifically delay and disruption claims. Other duties as assigned.

May require extended work schedules for prolonged periods (up to 6-8 weeks), including evening and weekend hours, or work performed during company holidays, depending on client or court-mandated deadlines.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to articulate technical findings clearly to both internal leadership and external clients.
  • Professional Rigor: A high degree of discretion and attention to detail. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strict, court-mandated deadlines.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Oracle P6 and experienced with Microsoft Project or other similar scheduling programs. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory (formulas and visualization). Experience with database management is a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with construction concepts, including documentation and critical path method (CPM) scheduling.
