Who You Are: You are a confident, results-driven leader who takes full ownership and thrives on solving complex challenges. You see the big picture, make decisions with conviction, and know when to delegate, step in, or push a team forward. You’re comfortable navigating tough conversations, managing competing priorities, and holding yourself and others accountable for results. You balance strong business judgment with a commitment to people and relationships, building trust with clients while developing high-performing project teams. You think beyond simply delivering the project, consistently looking for ways to improve profitability, anticipate risk, strengthen client relationships, and set your teams up for long-term success.
Your Impact:

- Lead the Team: Provide direction, clarity, and accountability to Project Managers, Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, and other project team members while building an engaged, high-performing team.
- Champion the Client: Serve as a key client contact from preconstruction through completion, building trusting relationships and creating an experience that keeps clients coming back.
- Drive Financial Performance: Own project projections, monitor budgets and costs, identify financial risks, and work with project teams to maximize profitability.
- Think Ahead: Anticipate project challenges, assess risk, and help teams solve the tough issues before they impact cost, schedule, quality, or client relationships.
- Bridge Preconstruction & Operations: Bring operational expertise into preconstruction, helping shape schedules, phasing, logistics, and constructability while ensuring a smooth transition into construction.
- Keep Projects on Track: Maintain visibility into schedules, buyout, submittals, RFIs, VDC coordination, change events, quality control, and other critical activities to ensure teams are executing to Benchmark standards.
- Develop People: Coach, mentor, and provide meaningful feedback to project team members, helping individuals grow while strengthening the overall team.
- Protect Safety & Quality: Hold teams accountable for proactive safety planning and consistent quality execution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build the Business: Strengthen relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and industry partners while supporting business development opportunities and Benchmark’s reputation in the market.
- Lead Through Challenges: Step into the toughest conversations and project issues with confidence, make sound decisions, and keep teams focused on results. This also closely reflects the autonomy, initiative, and results orientation defined in the Project Executive behavioral target.
What You Bring (Experiences & Qualifications):
- Proven Experience: 10+ years of commercial construction management experience, including successful delivery of complex projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

- Strategic Problem-Solving: Able to quickly analyze complex challenges, make sound decisions under pressure, and keep multiple projects moving toward successful outcomes.
- Client Leadership: Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build trust, navigate challenging conversations, and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Multiple-Project Management: Highly organized and capable of managing several projects, teams, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Independent & Accountable: Comfortable taking initiative, making decisions with autonomy, challenging the status quo when needed, and owning the results.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using project management software and technology to monitor project performance, communicate effectively, and keep teams aligned.
