Description
Kick-start your career in the online gaming world and experience the very latest in technology and innovation.
What you’ll do
You’ll take ownership of work that gives us our competitive edge, including:
· Own complex pieces of work end to end
o Take ambiguous problems, break them down, propose a design and lead delivery through to production.
o Make pragmatic trade-offs between speed, complexity, quality and cost, and clearly communicate them to the team.
· Shape the technical design of features and services
o Lead design discussions, write design docs and represent your team in cross-team technical conversations.
o Spot risks, dependencies and integration points early, and design solutions that hold up over time.
· Drive engineering quality across the codebase
o Champion clean code, good test coverage, observability and security in everything we ship.
o Lead refactors and modernisation work that pays down meaningful technical debt without grinding feature work to a halt.
· Mentor and grow other engineers
o Actively coach Software Engineer I and II team members through pairing, code review and structured guidance.
o Run internal sessions, write playbooks and share patterns that raise the bar across the team.
· Be a reliable steward of production
o Lead complex incident investigations, drive root-cause analysis and turn learnings into lasting improvements.
o Improve our monitoring, alerting and operational practices so we catch issues before our customers do.
This list covers your core responsibilities – with plenty of room to stretch, explore and take on new challenges as we grow.
