Launch Your Career in Broking

Aon is looking for soon-to-be graduates and recent graduates to join our Early Careers Launch Development Programme as Brokers within Risk Capital - National & Speciality. You do not need to be an expert on day one. Through our Launch Programme and on-the-job learning, you will develop broking skills while helping clients understand risk and navigate insurance markets.

As a Broker, you will build the skills, confidence and market knowledge needed to translate complex risk exposures into structured insurance programmes and serve as a credible intermediary between clients and insurers.

What is Risk Capital and National & Speciality

Risk Capital

Aon’s Risk Capital advisors combine expertise, relationships and analytics to help organisations understand, mitigate and transfer risk, access capital and support growth.

National & Speciality

The National & Speciality team works with corporate clients across construction, power, energy, healthcare, manufacturing, aviation, hospitality and trade credit. The team places annual and project-based programmes and provides risk management advice in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

As a Broker in National & Speciality, you will work alongside experienced brokers to bring market insight and professional advice to a diverse range of organisations across Ireland.

Analyse Risk and Build Market Insight

• Carry out premium and claims reporting and analysis.
• Support the assessment of annual and project-specific insurance requirements across a range of industries.

Support Market Strategy and Placements

• Help prepare market submissions, renewal materials, policy documentation and invoices.
• Participate in insurer market meetings and calls and assist with project insurance placements.
• Support senior colleagues with broker tenders.

Build Client Relationships and Advisory Skills

• Liaise with clients at renewal and throughout the year, responding to day-to-day queries.
• Communicate with colleagues and stakeholders at all business levels, including senior decision-makers.

Coordinate Projects and Improve How Work Gets Done

• Collaborate with finance, compliance, risk consultancy and other Aon teams.
• Work with third-party providers, including loss adjusters and insurance underwriters.
• Coordinate renewal activity, including pre-renewal communications, data collection and policy issuance.

The Launch Development Programme

Launch is a structured 10-month Early Career development programme that combines meaningful work, business learning, professional development and relationship-building across Aon. The programme helps you build a strong foundation for a long-term broking and advisory career through:

• On-the-job learning with brokers, client teams, account managers and solution line specialists.
• Business and professional development in Commercial Risk, client service, communication, collaboration, problem solving and commercial awareness.
• Exposure to data, analytics and technology that support risk assessment, market analysis, workflow coordination and client-ready recommendations.
• Networking, mentorship and coaching opportunities to build relationships across Aon and develop your career path.
