He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role
In this role you will be undertaking chemical analyses and associated activities, primarily on water samples. Your mahi will protect and inform our customers and their communities.
This role has a shift pattern of Sunday to Thursday - Sunday 8am to 4:30pm and Monday to Thursday 9am to 5:30pm.
Day to day you can expect to work on:
- Analysing samples, preparing reagents, and calibrating and troubleshooting laboratory equipment
- Maintaining accurate analytical records in accordance with our quality system
- Helping maintain a safe, clean and well-organised laboratory, including carrying out site inspections
Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | About you
You will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Chemistry or a closely related discipline
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Practical and mechanical aptitude, with an interest in laboratory equipment
- Confidence using computers and learning new software
- A methodical approach to work, with good attention to detail.
Previous experience in a commercial laboratory would be an advantage, but we also welcome applications from graduates with strong practical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
