Consider a career at WMG and get the best of both worlds – an innovative global music company that retains the creative spirit of a nimble independent.
Your role:
We are seeking a world-class, execution-focused Senior Vice President (SVP) of Global Supply Chain Transformation to lead the comprehensive modernization of our physical operations. In this role, you will redefine the future-state of our physical operations—spanning global manufacturing partnerships, distribution hubs, e-commerce fulfillment, and inventory optimization—while spearheading the end-to-end implementation of a modern, enterprise-wide Supply Chain Management (SCM) system.
While our industry is music, prior music industry experience is not required. We are specifically seeking a sophisticated supply chain leader trained in best-in-class Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), retail, or high-volume manufacturing and shipping environments who can bring world-class operational discipline, predictive data modeling, and rigorous systems architecture to our global physical business.
Here you’ll be responsible for:
- Operational Transformation: Evaluate, re-engineer, and optimize our global physical supply chain network , physical media, and merchandise) to improve speed-to-market, reduce fulfillment costs, and scale for massive demand spikes around global release cycles.
- Systems Architecture & Rollout: Serve as the executive sponsor for the selection, design, and phased global implementation of an advanced enterprise SCM / ERP technology platform, moving the organization away from tech debt accumulated in legacy, fragmented systems.
- CPG-Style Rigor & Planning: Introduce sophisticated demand forecasting, sales and operations planning (S&OP), and inventory replenishment models tailored to a highly variable, hit-driven physical product lifecycle.
- Change Management: Direct a comprehensive organizational change management strategy, ensuring corporate stakeholders, global territory leads, and physical warehouse operators successfully adopt new digital workflows and standardized processes.
- 3PL & Vendor Optimization: Partner with operational leadership to create a framework enabling them to standardize and hold global third-party logistics (3PL) providers, manufacturers, and freight forwarders accountable to strict, data-driven SLAs
- Executive Leadership: Partner closely with the C-suite, technology teams, and global business unit heads to integrate supply chain capabilities into the broader corporate data ecosystem.
About you:
- 15+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, with a proven track record as a VP or SVP managing large-scale physical logistics and distribution network footprints.
- Deep operational, foundational experience within a premier CPG, retail, or fast-moving consumer goods environment
- Proven success as the business lead for a large-scale, global SCM or ERP system implementation (e.g., o9 solutions, SAP) from blueprinting through to post-go-live optimization.
- Mastery of advanced demand planning, data-driven inventory optimization, and setting up rigorous KPIs across a complex, multi-region distribution network.
- Exceptional cross-functional influence and communication skills; the ability to translate complex, rigid supply chain methodologies into agile strategies that support a creative, fast-paced industry.
- A proven track record of delivery in a creative or similarly unpredictable environment, driven by high pressure or release date driven deadlines.
We’d love it if you also were:
- Excellent communicator, and dedicated professional with strong organization skills
- Goal Oriented - setting both short- and long-term goals for teams, motivating them towards high performance.
- Relationship Builder - develops internal and external relationships globally to accomplish business and revenue goals.
- Strong Leader who exhibits problem-solving skills to drive and motivate cross functional team members and major projects or initiatives.
- Capable of establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with top level executives globally and decision-makers, continuously communicating priorities and exploring new opportunities to drive new revenue.
- Commercially-minded, with sound and practical business judgment
