Description

The Manufacturing Assembler plays a critical role in building high-quality electro-mechanical products while actively contributing to continuous improvement, process stability, and operational excellence. This pay rate for this role is $22/hr.

This role goes beyond traditional assembly work. The ideal candidate is technologically savvy, curious, and improvement-oriented, with the ability to follow standard work while also identifying opportunities to improve it. You will partner with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to ensure efficient, high-quality production and a culture of accountability and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly & Production Execution

  • Assemble electro-mechanical components and finished goods according to work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform calibration, testing, and inspection to ensure products meet quality standards and functional requirements.
  • Read and interpret product documentation, including drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Complete required production reporting, checklists, and system transactions accurately.

Standard Work & Process Discipline

  • Follow established standard work with consistency and attention to detail.
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or inconsistencies in current processes.
  • Support updates to standard work documentation to reflect best practices and process improvements.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.

Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve quality, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Participate in root cause problem solving and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Contribute ideas to improve flow, ergonomics, tooling, and work cell layout.
  • Support implementation of Lean / RBS tools and continuous improvement initiatives aligned to site goals.

Technology & Data Utilization

  • Utilize digital tools, systems, and equipment to support assembly, testing, and reporting activities.
  • Accurately enter and retrieve production data across systems.
  • Demonstrate comfort learning and adapting to new technologies, automation, or digital work instructions.
  • Use data and metrics to understand performance and identify improvement opportunities.

Team Collaboration & Ownership

  • Work effectively within a team environment while maintaining individual accountability for output and quality.
  • Working in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow processes and complete work accurately.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience assembling electro-mechanical components or similar products.
  • Soldering experience.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or problem-solving methods.
  • Experience using digital tools for production tracking or reporting.
  • Technical or trade school education (mechanical, electrical, or related).
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • What Sets This Role Apart
  • This is not a traditional assembler role focused only on execution. Success in this position requires:
  • Thinking beyond the task to improve the process
  • Using technology and data to drive better outcomes
  • Taking ownership of quality, performance, and team success
  • Contributing ideas and participating actively in continuous improvement
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, move, and perform repetitive tasks during the shift
  • Ability to lift materials within standard manufacturing limits
  • Ability to work safely with tools, equipment, and assembly processes
  • Communicate issues, risks, and improvement ideas clearly and proactively.
  • Support cross-training and knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Take ownership of workstation organization, material flow, and overall cell performance.

Safety, Quality & Workplace Organization

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area (5S standards)
  • Ensure proper handling of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Uphold a strong quality mindset with a focus on “built-in quality” vs. inspection.

Required Qualifications
