Job Description

  • Analyzes engineering and manufacturing requirements, then designs, develops, tests, maintains, and debugs simulation, Digital Twin, and Physical AI software solutions for intelligent automation and robotics applications.
  • Develops physics-based simulation environments, virtual equipment and robot models, digital assets, reusable software components, and simulation workflows to accelerate automation development and validation.
  • Develops and integrates simulation capabilities for robotics, perception, vision, sensors, motion, manipulation, autonomous systems, and synthetic data generation, supporting the development and validation of Physical AI applications.
  • Builds simulation-to-real and real-to-simulation workflows to improve correlation between virtual models and physical systems and enable technology development before deployment on actual equipment.
  • Develops reusable APIs, libraries, plugins, data pipelines, and integration frameworks connecting simulation environments with robotics, AI, automation, and engineering software stacks.
  • May participate across the full development lifecycle, from detailed programming and simulation modeling to software architecture, system integration, and high-level Digital Twin platform design.
  • Works closely with software, AI, robotics, mechanical, electrical, controls, and automation engineers to develop integrated virtual systems and validate complex automation concepts.
  • Uses modern software engineering practices including object-oriented programming, modular architectures, version control, automated testing, CI/CD, APIs, and reusable software libraries to build scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Identifies emerging technologies in Physical AI, robotics simulation, Digital Twin, computer vision, synthetic data, and AI-enabled automation, and evaluates their application to future manufacturing systems.
  • May provide technical leadership and mentor engineers through architecture reviews, code reviews, simulation methodology, and software design guidance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++, with solid understanding of object-oriented software development.
  • Experience developing simulation, robotics, Digital Twin, or automation software.
  • Understanding of 3D simulation, physics-based modeling, robot kinematics, motion, sensors, or perception systems.
  • Experience with modern software engineering practices including Git, APIs, modular software architecture, automated testing, and CI/CD.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate physical engineering problems into software and simulation solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively across software, robotics, automation, controls, mechanical, and electrical engineering disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Physical AI, robotics simulation, autonomous systems, computer vision, or synthetic data generation.
  • Knowledge of sim-to-real and real-to-sim workflows, including model calibration and validation against physical systems.
  • Experience developing reusable simulation assets, software libraries, plugins, APIs, or Digital Twin frameworks.
  • Familiarity with robot manipulation, path planning, sensor simulation, perception pipelines, or AI/ML integration.
  • Experience integrating simulation environments with robots, automation equipment, cameras, sensors, PLC/control systems, or manufacturing systems.
  • Knowledge of 3D asset pipelines, CAD-to-simulation workflows, physics engines, and industrial communication protocols is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate emerging technologies and convert them into practical, scalable engineering solutions.
