Location: Atlanta, GA or St. Louis, MO
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, four days onsite per week

Base Salary: $150,000 to $180,000 annually

Position Overview
We are seeking highly skilled and hands-on Principal / Senior Principal Software Engineers with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Python, REST APIs, and enterprise application development.
The ideal candidate combines advanced software engineering capabilities with exposure to Generative AI tools and modern AI-assisted development technologies.
This opportunity involves working on enterprise software solutions in a technically demanding environment that values practical programming expertise, problem-solving capabilities, and modern development methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.
- Build and enhance backend services using Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Develop Python-based automation, integration, and backend components.
- Work with SQL databases and relational data architectures.
- Follow structured software development practices, including Spec Driven Development.
- Collaborate with engineering teams using Agile methodologies.
- Maintain code quality, version control, and technical documentation.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools where appropriate.
- Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and support reliable application delivery.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on Java development experience, including Java 8, 11, 17, or newer.
- Practical expertise in Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
- Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
- Proficiency in Python for automation, integrations, or backend development.
- Exposure to Spec Driven Development.
- Strong SQL and relational database skills.
- Proficiency with Git.
- Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Generative AI tools, including GitHub Copilot, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms.
- Experience using AI coding assistants to improve engineering productivity.
- Exposure to cloud AI services on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
Additional Advantages
- Integration of GenAI into Java or Python applications.
- Development of AI-powered APIs, assistants, or copilots.
- Experience with agentic AI workflows.
- Understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Familiarity with enterprise AI architectures.
Work Location and Eligibility
Candidates must be willing and able to work onsite four days per week in Atlanta, Georgia, or St. Louis, Missouri.
Preference will be given to professionals already located in these metropolitan areas.
