The Mission

At Citi Wealth, managing a balance sheet is both a science and a commercial art. As Analytics Lead for Deposits, Lending & Balance Sheet Management, you will own the analytical engine powering executive decisions across global Wealth product lines and distribution channels.

Positioned at the intersection of commercial strategy, data product architecture, and quantitative storytelling, you will lead a high-performing squad of 5–8 analysts. Your mandate: transform vast, complex banking data into high-octane consumption layers, intuitive self-service BI engines, and high-impact strategic deep dives that decode capital flows, balance dynamics, and revenue drivers.

What You Will Drive (Your Mandate)

• Shape Commercial Strategy: Partner as a trusted advisor to Global Product Heads, CFOs, and Channel Executives. Translate multi-billion-dollar business questions into structured analytical hypotheses, pricing insights, and commercial growth levers.

• Architect the Analytical Consumption Layer: Collaborate with Data Product Owners and Engineering squads to design robust semantic layers and optimized data marts that make complex Wealth data instantly queryable and reliable.

• Lead Strategic Diagnostic Deep Dives: Spearhead investigative analytics into net new money (NNM), deposit elasticity, liquidity migration, loan drawdowns, and client attrition triggers to drive actionable balance sheet interventions.

• Democratize Business Intelligence: Modernize consumption by rolling out executive cockpit dashboards, automated self-service analytics, and proactive anomaly alert frameworks.

• Champion Engineering & Data Hygiene: Establish a culture of automation-first delivery, robust PySpark/Python data pipelines, audit-grade data quality controls, and zero-defect release standards.

• Lead & Multiply Talent: Mentor, inspire, and grow a team of 5–8 analysts into high-impact problem solvers with an owner mindset.

 

What Success Looks Like (Year 1 Blueprint)

• Consumption Layer Live: Delivered the foundational analytical data layer for Deposits and Lending, dramatically accelerating time-to-insight for downstream analytics.

• Flagship BI Ecosystem: Rolled out self-service BI suites and automated intelligence cockpits adopted daily by senior Wealth leaders.

• Pivotal Commercial Wins: Authored 3+ high-impact strategic deep-dives that directly influenced balance sheet optimization, pricing, or retention strategy.

• Autonomous Pipeline: Reduced manual reporting touchpoints by >50% via PySpark/Python automation and continuous reconciliation frameworks.

 

What You Bring (Profile & Capabilities)

• Background: 12–18 years of progressive experience across Tier-1 Management Consulting (Financial Services practice), Global Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), or Global Wealth/Retail Analytics.

• Domain Mastery: Deep functional command of Wealth Management economics—Deposits, Structured Lending, Investment-Backed Finance, Liquidity, and RM/Channel productivity.

• Technical & Analytical Depth: Fluent in modern analytics tech stack (Python, PySpark, Advanced SQL), with proven ability to evaluate semantic data models and enterprise BI architectures (Power BI / Tableau).

• Consulting Polish & Matrix Navigation: World-class structured problem solving (issue trees, MECE frameworks), executive storytelling, and proven negotiation capability to align diverse global stakeholders.

• Leadership & Ownership: Proven track record leading 5+ analytical specialists, cultivating high performance, strategic inquiry, and relentless delivery discipline.
