Package: €70,000–€80,000 basic salary + international benefits

The Opportunity

Leap29 is working with an established construction contractor delivering a major Data Centre project in Finland.

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to support the delivery of a significant architectural CSA fit-out package. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong construction engineer to play a key role in site engineering, setting out, quality control and technical coordination on a major data centre development.

 

We welcome applications from experienced construction professionals currently working in either permanent or freelance positions.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage setting-out activities and technical checks for architectural fit-out works.
• Lead site engineering activities, ensuring construction is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and technical requirements.
• Review construction drawings, specifications and technical queries before work commences.
• Coordinate dimensional checks and interfaces between architectural works, structural elements and building services.
• Work closely with site managers, supervisors, engineers and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and maintain progress.
• Manage inspection requests, quality records, as-built drawings and engineering documentation.
• Monitor site progress, dimensional tolerances and compliance with project quality standards.
• Support construction sequencing, material checks and short-term planning.
• Assist with quality inspections, snagging and the preparation of project handover documentation.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings and site conditions, escalating issues and supporting timely resolution.

 

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Engineer or experienced Site Engineer on major building or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of setting out, construction drawings, specifications and technical coordination.
• Experience with quality inspections, inspection requests, as-built documentation and technical queries.
• Ability to coordinate site activities and work effectively with subcontractors and multidisciplinary construction teams.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to site engineering.
• Relevant construction or engineering qualification preferred.
• Previous data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, industrial or large-scale commercial construction experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to work on-site in Vaasa, Finland.
• Existing right to work in Finland is preferred; visa sponsorship availability must be confirmed.

Package & Benefits

 

The international package includes:

• Basic salary of €70,000–€80,000 per annum.
• International allowance of 10–20% of basic salary.

• €30 per working day subsistence allowance.
