Company Description
We are building America's privacy-first mobile carrier, delivering secure, resilient cellular services to government agencies, enterprises, and consumers.
Built on our own mobile core and SIM technology, our platform is designed to protect customer privacy by collecting only the minimum information needed to provide service, deleting it quickly, and never selling customer data. Our services include advanced protections such as daily identifier rotation, SIM swap protection, network lock, secondary phone numbers, disappearing call logs, and secure global roaming.
We are the only U.S. mobile carrier with SOC 2 Type 2 certification across all five trust criteria. Our service is trusted by national security professionals, enterprise executives, journalists, and activists.
Following our recent Series C, we are scaling our engineering organization from approximately 70 employees and investing in the internal platforms, tooling, and development infrastructure that will support the next stage of growth.
You'll join at an important inflection point as the first dedicated Developer Experience engineer. This is an opportunity to shape how engineers across the organization build, test, and ship software, working closely with teams building sophisticated cryptographic systems and 5G core network infrastructure.
What You Will Do
-
Own Developer Experience: Build and improve the internal platforms, developer tooling, and workflows that help engineers across the organization work more efficiently.
-
Improve CI/CD pipelines: Own and optimize continuous integration and deployment pipelines, making it easier for engineers to test, validate, and ship code reliably.
-
Improve local development environments: Make local setup, development workflows, and debugging easier and more consistent across the engineering organization.
-
Focus on Go development workflows: Improve the tools and processes that support how engineers write, test, and ship Go code.
-
Build internal tooling: Identify recurring engineering friction and develop tools that remove unnecessary work and improve developer productivity.
-
Work cross-functionally: Partner with platform, product, infrastructure, network, and security teams to identify bottlenecks and prioritize high-impact improvements.
-
Shape AI-assisted development: Evaluate and implement AI coding tools, establish appropriate guardrails, and measure their actual impact on engineering productivity.
-
Establish engineering standards: Develop documentation, runbooks, development guidelines, and best practices that scale with the growing engineering organization.
-
Improve engineering workflows: Identify opportunities to simplify build systems, testing, deployment, and day-to-day development processes.
-
Drive Developer Experience strategy: Take ownership of the DevEx roadmap, identify what the organization should improve, and independently drive those improvements.
-
Provide technical leadership: Mentor future Developer Experience hires and help establish the direction and standards for the function as it grows.
