An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Responsible Individual to oversee and support a portfolio of regulated services across Chesterfield and Birmingham. This role would suit a confident senior leader with strong regulatory knowledge and a passion for driving continuous improvement across services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and governance across regulated services
- Ensure all services meet and exceed regulatory requirements and standards
- Act as the main point of accountability for service quality and compliance
- Support and monitor Registered Managers to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, including inspections and compliance monitoring
- Drive continuous improvement plans across all services
- Review audits, reports, and performance data to maintain service excellence
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and risk management processes are robust and effective
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and person-centred care
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Responsible Individual or in a senior leadership role within social care
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., CQC or Ofsted, depending on service type)
- Proven track record of managing or overseeing multiple services
- Excellent leadership, governance, and decision-making skills
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and compliance requirements
- Ability to build effective relationships with managers, stakeholders, and regulators
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent) desirable
- Full UK driving licence (desirable)
