What You’ll Be Doing

As the Line Locator, you will: complete daily reports on all field activities, dispatched calls, work orders, service requests, and provides information for cost analysis reports utilizing Cityworks™ computer work order system. Locate city utilities by marking the location of utilities with flags and paint markings including water lines, sewer lines, light pole underground infrastructure and storm-water infrastructure. Inspect the quality of right of way work by ensuring that contractors are in compliance with city codes for work and restoration of areas in and around the city infrastructure and forecasting right of way activities to assess the impact to present and future city infrastructures.

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Two (2) years utility line locating experience.
• FEMA National Incident Management System (NIMS) Training required by the Public Works department within (1) year of hire date.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background investigation and MVR check.
• Must possess valid class C driver’s license.
