Role Summary
The Driller is responsible for carrying out drilling operations safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the approved well program, company procedures, and contractual requirements. The role ensures full operational control on the drill floor while maintaining the highest safety standards and optimizing drilling performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safe working conditions on the drill floor at all times
- Operate drilling equipment including drawworks, rotary systems, and pumps according to the drilling program
- Monitor and adjust drilling parameters (WOB, RPM, pressure, pump output) to optimize performance
- Supervise and coordinate drill floor crew activities
- Conduct and approve Safe Job Analyses (SJA) and risk assessments
- Maintain strong knowledge of well control procedures and equipment
- Perform and supervise BOP testing and drills in accordance with regulations
- Ensure proper handling and operation of all drilling tools and equipment
- Monitor mud systems and drilling performance
- Prevent and respond to drilling issues (e.g. stuck pipe situations)
- Coordinate with third-party operations (cementing, casing, wireline, etc.)
- Maintain accurate reporting, including daily drilling reports and equipment documentation
- Ensure proper shift handovers with clear operational updates
- Support rig-up and rig-down operations as required
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all operations
- Ensure proper use of PPE at all times
- Participate in emergency drills and follow the Emergency Preparedness Plan
- Report hazards, incidents, and near-misses promptly
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained on the drill floor
- Comply with all company and client HSE procedures
Requirements
- Valid IWCF or IADC Certification
- Proven experience as a Driller in offshore drilling operations
- Strong knowledge of drilling equipment, well control, and safety procedures
- Ability to supervise teams and manage drilling operations effectively
