Behind the user-friendly iOS and Android apps and webpage that work across the world is the engineering team. We are in charge of creating, developing, improving, and maintaining all Fever services so that more people can have an amazing experience.
About the role
We are looking for a Product Designer to refactor, scale, and govern our existing Design System into a robust, enforceable multibrand product platform, supporting multiple products and devices (web, mobile, and digital kiosks).This role sits at the intersection of Design, Engineering, and AI tooling. You will transform our current Design System into a scalable, enforceable product infrastructure that:
- Reduces design and engineering rework
- Protects brand and UX coherence at scale
- Accelerates delivery through reusable primitives
- Enables AI-assisted workflows without quality degradation
You will partner with a dedicated Engineering platform team to ensure design primitives are implemented in production and adopted across squads.
The role begins fully focused on Design Systems. Once governance and foundations are stabilised, it transitions to a 50/50 model: maintaining system ownership while embedding in product squads to stress-test and evolve it in real contexts.
What you’ll own
System Refactoring & Architecture
- Audit and rationalise existing components, tokens, and patterns.
- Define scalable foundations (design tokens, spacing, typography, color, motion).
- Build a multi-brand theming architecture that supports current and future brands.
- Ensure accessibility and performance standards are embedded into the system.
- Establish the Design System as a single source of truth across design and code.
- Define automation pipelines for token distribution and component releases.
Governance & Enforcement
- Define and implement the governance model (decision rights, intake process, review model, versioning).
- Approve or reject deviations from system standards.
- Establish contribution workflows for designers and engineers.
- Define quality benchmarks and release cadence.
Engineering Partnership
- Partner with a dedicated DS Engineering team to ensure parity between Figma and production.
- Align design tokens and components with code architecture.
- Reduce design-to-code friction and eliminate one-off UI implementations.
AI Workflow Integration
- Structure system primitives for AI-assisted prototyping.
- Enable AI-generated concepts to remain system-compliant.
- Embed the DS into internal AI tooling to reduce time from idea to validated prototype.
Adoption & Evangelism
- Drive adoption across squads through training and documentation.
- Track usage and system health metrics.
- Identify friction and evolve the system accordingly.
About You
- Proven experience refactoring and scaling an existing Design System.
- Experience working with dedicated DS engineering counterparts.
- Strong systems thinking and UI craft.
- Experience defining governance and enforcing standards.
- Strong understanding of HTML/CSS/JS capabilities and limitations.
- Knowledge about cross-brower compatibility challenges as well as hands-on experience on crafting semantic HTML structures using the latest best practices is highly valued
- Experience defining scalable token architecture and automated distribution pipelines.
- Portfolio demonstrating Design System work (production impact required).
Strong plus
- Multi-brand theming architecture experience.
- Experience integrating structured systems with AI-assisted workflows.
- Experience operating in multi-squad, high-growth environments.
- Working knowledge of front-end implementation (HTML/CSS/JS). Experience working with Angular, Astro, or Svelte ecosystems is highly valued.
