Job Description Summary:

The Lead Intake Specialist, Infusion Clinics will function as a key member of our intake team and will be accountable for performing various administrative duties supporting our patients, intake team and communicating with cross-functional departments. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working in a team setting, be well organized, have excellent communication skills, and display a strong drive for continuous improvement, challenging the status quo, and meeting specific patient intake and referral goals.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engages with patient, referral source and clinical team to coordinate start to finish process of getting a patient treated. 

  • Collaborates with leadership team to provide ideas, suggestions, identify areas of opportunity and improvement  

  • Responsible for team education and resolution of issues related to the patient onboarding process. 

  • Creates, communicates, and helps to obtain all required documentation for new and existing referrals.  

  • Supports the ongoing activities needed to ensure clean claims.  

  • Lead benefit verification, prior authorization, pre-collections, copay assistance and financial review process within EMR  

  • Champion of EMR enhancements and implementation applicable to the intake team

  • Interviews, assists with hire process, and trains employees.

  • Lead weekly check-ins with intake specialists and front desk coordinators to support and guide improvement  

  • Assists leadership team to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required

  • Minimum 3 years of healthcare experience required

  • Preauthorization experience required

Basic Qualifications & Interests (BQIs)

  • Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time. 

  • Ability to work in a fast past environment. 

  • Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus. 

  • High degree of customer service skills required.  

  • Ability to trouble shoot, problem solve and collaborate with cross-functional team members across sales and operation functions. 

Travel Requirements (if required)

Must be willing to travel, if needed, to provide training to other team members located at the other infusion clinics.

Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)

  • Leadership experience preferred 

  • Infusion Intake experience preferred

Due to state pay transparency laws, the full range for the position is below:

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Pay Range is $19.40-$32.33
